TSIA 2.0 Testing

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board has ruled that high school graduates may demonstrate college readiness for reading, writing, and math in ONE of the following three ways:

(1)  An exemption based on the student’s STAAR scores if they choose to take dual credit classes during high school

(2)  A passing score on the Texas Success Initiative

(3)  An exemption score on another assessment approved by the Coordinating Board and accepted by the college or university, such as the ACT or SAT.

The TSIA 2.0 test is an entrance exam that all students must take or have exemption status for each subject including English/Language Arts and Math for any college or university.  Students will have the opportunity to take the TSIA 2.0 on campus on a specific date; otherwise, they will contact the testing office at their chosen college to set up a testing session.
