🚌 Wheeler ISD Bus Riders 🚌
Bus routes will start on Thursday August 15th in the AFTERNOON ONLY. If your child needs to ride a bus, please make sure you have filled out a bus form and turned it into the school. Students cannot ride the bus unless they have a 2024-2025 bus form turned in. All students will need to be dropped off and picked up from school on Wednesday August 14th.

If your child plans to return to Wheeler ISD this Fall, please see the district website, www.wheelerschools.net, select enrollment, and then complete registration through the Parent Portal. This will allow the registration process to go much quicker. All new students will complete the paper version.
Wheeler County 4-H is having a Clothing Drive on Tuesday August 6th from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Wheeler Agri-Life Building.

🚌Thomas R. Helton Elementary School will hold PK-6 Registration & Meet the Teachers on Thursday August 8th from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. 🏫.
📓This is a great time to come visit with your child's teachers and complete any paperwork needed for the 2024-2025 school year. 📄

🎓 THURSDAY MAY 16th at 8:30 a.m.. 🎓 The Senior class and Kindergarten class of Wheeler ISD will have a walk-though together through the school. 📷 ༘ Parents: If you would like to take pictures, please meet in the East parking lot to watch them make their walk together outside 📷 ༘ ⭐ A group photo will be taken in front of the school after the walk-through is complete ⭐ 🗞 Congratulations to the class of 2024 AND 2036 🗞

⭐️Thomas R. Helton Elementary students will have the opportunity this year to participate in the Community Clean-Up on Monday May 20th. ⭐️. Our students will have various assignments and places throughout town they will be in charge of "cleaning up". 🗑 Your PK-6th grade student will bring home a permission slip allowing them to participate in this event. Please sign and return that slip as soon as possible to allow your student to participate. We will work on our assignments in the morning, all elem. classes will be back at school for regular lunch time.
PK/K students will work at the Wheeler City Park 🛝
1st grade students will work at the United Methodist Church Park 🛝
2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students will work at Tom Britt Memorial Park/Wheeler Nursing & Rehab 🏐
5th & 6th grade students will work at the Wheeler Cemetery 🌸

🏃♂️ PK-2 students will march from the gym to the track today starting about 12:45 p.m. today to begin Little Colt Relays at 1:00 p.m. We welcome all parents and spectators to line up and cheer them on! 📣 🏃 🏃♀️

3rd grade had a visit from Mr. Andy Hefley today. He brought a chick 🐣 incubator and taught a lesson on egg development. The students placed the fertilized eggs in the incubator and will check on them daily until they all hatch 🐣
